Nashco hosts the NASCO weather station which is part of a much wider, global weather network that is part of the Ambient Weather Network, Weather Underground, and others.
Our station is based around the Ambient WS-2000 Weather sensor array and provides lightning detection and weather camera along other relevant weather data. Weather data shown here live-updates in near real-time, without you having to Refresh the page. The updates for the various sensors on the array automatically update.
Our site is also the site for KD8UDZ Amateur Radio (Amateur Extra) and is a weather-spotter participating with SkyWarn.
As the name implies, our station serves specifically the northern Ashland County, Ohio rural area which currently has gaps in weather coverage. We are covered by regional weather services but this area is, essentially, a black hole where weather conditions reporting is concerned. This station updates the networks in real-time, 24/7.
I know, the website name Nashco hosting weather station NASCO seems a little confusing.
You can visit this site anytime to find current weather conditions for the northern Ashland County area. We are not directly affiliated with Ashland County itself.
